Agfa SelectSet Avantra
The Agfa Avantra printing device is currently the most accurate imagesetter in the world, boasting the industry's best numbers for spot sharpness, repeatability, and consistency. Film is held stationary in the Avantra's large internal drum while the laser head assembly, which is suspended on magnetic rails and positioned with laser ping timing, records your data at up to 3600 dpi.

This design results in extremely high "repeatability", or the accuracy of dot position, which varies by no more than 5 microns over 8 consecutive sheets of film. Additionaly, the Avantra can change its laser spot size—as the resolution increases, the dot imaged to film actually becomes smaller as appropriate.

Agfa Accuset 1000
Imaging up to 80 inches per document page, the Accuset fills a role impossible for drum imagesetters to touch—long film and paper. This freedom from length restrictions, paired with the Accuset's rock-steady imaging and repeatability, make this a very popular solution for designers needing to screen onto skis, snowboards, and skateboards, as well as multifold mailers and brochures.
